Protect MI Constitution from Special Interests

About Us

We are a bipartisan coalition that has received support from several of Michigan’s most prominent organizations, including:

  • Michigan Chamber of Commerce

  • Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM)

  • Michigan Education Association

  • Business Leaders for Michigan

  • Michigan AFL-CIO

  • Michigan League of Conservation Voters

  • League of Women Voters For Michigan

  • Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association

  • Michigan Council of Carpenters & Millwrights

  • Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce

  • Michigan Association of State Universities

  • Voters Not Politicians

  • Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce

Representing a wide range of businesses, workers and voters across Michigan, these influential organizations are working with PMCFSI to encourage a NO vote on Proposal 1 on the ballot in November, which will ask Michiganders whether to support calling a Constitutional Convention (Con-Con). The broad-based coalition is working together to protect Michigan’s constitution and ensure it cannot be hijacked and rewritten in a way that allows narrow special interests to reshape the state’s governing document or sideline voters.

Historically, Michigan voters have said NO to a Con-Con by huge margins every time it comes to a vote because opening up our entire state constitution is too risky.

We already have a process to make smart, targeted amendments to the Michigan Constitution that puts voters in charge, and that’s the way
it needs to
stay.
